Mathematical Investigation of Heat Transfer Characteristics and Parameter Optimization of Integral Rolled Spiral Finned Tube Bundle Heat Exchangers

In this study, the effects of fin tip thickness and root integral rolled spiral finned tube bundles on flow resistance, heat transfer performance exergy destruction were investigated via mathematical simulation. The correlations between resistance fitted with dimensionless numbers. optimized parameters evaluation criteria (PEC) as objective obtained using methods involving computational fluid dynamics machine learning. results show Nusselt number (Nu), Euler (Eu), PEC, (ExT) (ExP) A new correlation is proposed for predicting Nu Eu bundles. Among four optimization models tested, random forest regression algorithm was most accurate PEC prediction models. studied range, optimal a 2 mm 3.5 mm. Compared initial parameters, when Reynolds 20,380, increased by 2.53%, ExP 2.37% ExT decreased 7.96%.
